The first room in my clean with me series was bathrooms you can view that here. Next on the list is bedrooms. Bedrooms should really have this yearly spring clean twice a year instead. We sleep here every night and dust builds up behind furniture and on other random places you don’t always think of while you are doing your weekly cleaning. This causes you to have more allergy issues. For me I know when I need to change the filter or clean the ceiling fan because my allergies get bad. This can cause sleeping issues and that’s never good. This is how I spring and fall clean my bedroom.
I always start at the top of the room and work my way down. vacuum and wipe down the ceiling fan and vents. Then walk around and dust all the wall décor. Then I go through and purge everything that doesn’t belong, or clothes that don’t fit, and put away most of my winter clothes and pull out spring/summer clothes. Next I pull all the furniture away from the wall and vacuum and wipe down the baseboards.

I use a lent roller on my lamp shades. I learned this trick a couple years ago and it changed my life!! Those lamp shades collect so much dust and it sticks to them so well lent roller is the only thing I have found that actually cleans them.
To finish I clean the windows and mirrors. Wash and replace the bedding and curtains. Then disinfect door knobs and switch plates, change batteries in the smoke alarm. Lastly I vacuum the floor and carpet clean if needed.
