My girls and I love these Large DIY Tulle Poms. Not only are they super pretty they are fast and easy to make. I like making poms with tulle rather than tissue paper because they last way longer and I just think they look a lot nicer.
-You will need 6″ tulle, ribbon or string, cardboard(I used a pizza hut box), and scissors.
1. Cut the card board to what ever size pom you want and add notches to help keep the tulle in place. This doesn’t have to be perfect at all.
2. Wrap the tulle around the card board about 30-50 times depending on how full you want the poms to be.
3.Next you want to be carful not to loose the fold or it will be hard to cut the tulle in half. You’ll cut one side then tie with a small piece of tulle in the middle and then cut the other side.
4. Now you will want to fluff, trim to make it cleaner looking, and tie your ribbon or string to a few strands of tulle as close to the base as you can. This will hold the pom, so tie it tight.
That’s it!! Just hang it where ever you want to add some sweetness.
